School employee who was passing out materials, lunch to students tests positive

A north Mississippi school district employee who was passing out food and materials to students has tested positive for COVID19, according to a press release from the school.

From the Marshall County school district:

The MCSD has had employee(s) test positive for the Covid-19 virus. The employee(s) have not had direct contact with any student, but employee(s) were involved in making copies and preparing materials for take home packets.

The employee(s) also worked handing out lunch, but was not involved in any food preparation. At that time the employee(s) working had no symptoms of the virus and when the employee(s) did not feel well they quarantined and did not return to the school.

We have closed the MCSD school sites for at least the next 14 days as a precaution. The schools are being cleaned during this time that schools will be closed.
