Early Saturday morning, a Tippah County native was killed after a motorcycle collided with him in Alcorn County, the Mississippi Highway Patrol reports.
The collision occurred on Highway 72 near County Road 611.
The pedestrian was identified as Gregory Jones of Walnut, who appeared to be walking west in the center of the westbound lane when the accident occurred.
Jones passed away due to his injuries while the motorist only reported moderate injuries.
