Tupelo police said a minor crash involving a school bus at Veterans Boulevard and Eason Boulevard left all students uninjured. The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries and a second bus was dispatched, the department said.

A social media post encouraged Mississippians to avoid impaired driving and arrange a safe ride home before celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, the message said.

The National Weather Service in Memphis, Tennessee, said a Freeze Warning will remain in effect through noon today as temperatures warm into the 40s and low 50s. The agency warned residents east of the Mississippi River to keep plants covered and said there is a low to medium chance of another freeze tonight into Wednesday morning.
