Crime Stoppers of Northeast Mississippi and the Tupelo Police Department asked the public to help identify the person or persons responsible for grand larceny, the agencies said.
A report was filed July 12 after a wallet was stolen from a gas station on South Green Street, the Tupelo Police Department said.
Surveillance footage from the business shows a possible suspect described by the department as a Black man wearing a white shirt, black pants and a black toboggan, the Tupelo Police Department said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Northeast Mississippi at 800-773-TIPS (8477) or download the P3 Tip App to leave a tip, Crime Stoppers said. Crime Stoppers said it will pay up to $2,000 for a tip that leads to an arrest and that it does not want callers’ names, only information.
