Northeast Mississippi Community College Celebrates Kossuth Cheer Team’s National Title

The Kossuth High School Cheer Team, which recently won a national championship, was celebrated at Northeast Mississippi Community College on Tuesday.

College President Dr. Ricky G. Ford and Patrick Eaton, vice president of institutional advancement and executive director of the development foundation and alumni association, welcomed the team. Each team member received a surprise $50 bookstore gift card.

The college also treated the cheerleaders to dinner and recognized them during halftime of the Lady Tigers basketball game. College officials praised the team’s hard work, dedication, and heart throughout the season.

“We are genuinely so proud of these young women,” a college spokesperson said. “Their success is a testament to their commitment and spirit.”
