Members of Northeast’s Iota Zeta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa presented a $2,700 donation to the North Mississippi Chapter of the American Red Cross, Northeast said.

Members of Northeast’s board of trustees are attending the Mississippi Association of Community College Trustees’ annual conference in Biloxi, the college said.

Northeast Mississippi Community College said it presented the MACCC Sports Hall of Fame award on campus to former player Robert Henry after he missed the spring induction.

Northeast named Starlandria Walton of Holly Springs and Alissa Cook of Rienzi as the first recipients of the Mark Lothenore Memorial Scholarship, the college said. The scholarship, funded by the Tristate Providers Network, supports nursing students who show academic excellence, leadership and financial need.
