Ashley Schmidt has been named the 2026 recipient of the Lois B. Jones and David R. Pace Memorial Scholarship, the Mississippi/Louisiana chapter of the American Society of Clinical Laboratory Science announced.
Schmidt is a sophomore Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) student from Okolona, Northeast said.
She plans to begin working as an MLT and to continue her education this fall at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Northeast said.
Northeast congratulated Schmidt on the award and on her plans to continue in the field.
