Arctic Air to Bring Cold Temperatures and Wind Chills to Memphis Area

The National Weather Service in Memphis issued a forecast warning of much colder temperatures expected overnight. Tomorrow morning, residents can expect wind chill values in the single digits to lower teens, according to the agency.

Forecasters advise residents to protect the four P’s: people, pets, plants, and pipes. The arrival of arctic air will make for a very cold start to the day, with temperatures dropping significantly from current levels.

Officials recommend dressing warmly and taking precautions to prevent cold-related health issues. The cold snap is expected to last through the morning before temperatures gradually improve later in the day, the weather service said.
