Blue Mountain Christian University reports progress on Center for Grace & Healing construction
Construction at Blue Mountain Christian University’s Center for Grace & Healing has entered its 36th week, with several key activities underway, according to a university update.
Structural steel erection continued on site this week, along with overhead MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) rough-in work on the lower level. Fire suppression system rough-in also progressed on the lower level.
Exterior cold-formed metal framing and interior framing are ongoing. Installation of exterior sheathing has also continued. Rebar and wire mesh for slab-on-deck pours have been installed, with several pours completed this week, including slab-on-grade block-out pours.
The project has also seen the start of exterior waterproofing and foundation retaining wall backfilling, marking further milestones in the construction process, according to university officials.
