Forecasters have issued a warning about a possible dense fog event early Monday morning along and west of the Mississippi River.
The National Weather Service estimates the likelihood of dense fog at 30 to 50 percent. Visibility could be significantly reduced, creating hazardous driving conditions.
Drivers are urged to exercise caution, slow down, and use headlights when traveling in affected areas during the foggy conditions.
There is no indication of severe weather beyond the fog, but motorists should remain alert for changing conditions.
