CoCoRaHS says volunteers need internet and approved rain gauge

The Community Collaborative Rain, Hail & Snow Network, known as CoCoRaHS, says prospective volunteers need internet access, an approved CoCoRaHS rain gauge, a flat site with good rainfall exposure and the willingness to enter daily rainfall totals.

CoCoRaHS said volunteers must use an approved gauge. The organization said gauges can be ordered from Weather Your Way at https://weatheryourway.com/collections/cocorahs-gauge-parts.

Volunteers are asked to record and submit daily rainfall totals, CoCoRaHS said. The network said the site should provide good exposure to rainfall for accurate observations.

CoCoRaHS encouraged interested people to sign up to join the community rainfall network, the organization said.
