Cold front northwest of Jackson, Tennessee, brings rain and cooler weather

A slow-moving cold front is located just northwest of Jackson, Tennessee, according to the latest radar update. As the front continues its southeast movement, rain chances are expected to decrease through the afternoon.

Behind the front, cooler and drier air is settling in, bringing relief from ongoing rain. Residents can expect the weather to improve as the front moves farther southeast.

Rain chances are forecast to increase again on Friday, potentially bringing additional precipitation to the region, the National Weather Service said. No severe weather is currently forecast.
