Forecasters warn of supercells, damaging winds across Mid-South

Thunderstorm activity is expected to increase across the Mid-South over the next hour, moving from west to east, a 5:10 p.m. weather update said.

The update said discrete supercells were forming ahead of the main cold front.

The update said the atmosphere was primed for damaging winds of 75 mph or higher, quick spin-up tornadoes and large hail.
