Forecasters warn of wet, stormy weather beginning tomorrow night

Forecasters warned that a wet and stormy period will begin tomorrow night, with a Marginal Risk, or level 1 of 5, in effect for the overnight hours.

The primary threats cited by forecasters are damaging winds and large hail. They said storm motions and very efficient rainfall rates increase the chance of heavy rainfall where storms train over the same areas.

Officials said periodic updates are expected as the forecast evolves toward Friday and Saturday and that there is likely to be at least one more round of strong to severe storms through the weekend.

Forecasters urged residents to monitor local weather updates and be prepared to take action if warnings are issued.
