Former Jackson County Inventory Control Director Arrested on Fraud Charges

Jackson, Miss. — State Auditor Shad White announced that special agents from his office have arrested Nancy Anglada, the former Jackson County Inventory Control Director, on charges of fraud.

Anglada is accused of submitting false training reimbursements and using a county Fuelman card for her personal vehicle on multiple occasions, White said. The Fuelman card was allegedly used to fill up her personal vehicle, and she reportedly claimed reimbursement for training she did not pay for.

Officials said Anglada faces up to $5,000 in fines and 20 years in prison if convicted. The Mississippi Office of the State Auditor emphasized that all individuals arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

Authorities encouraged the public to report suspected fraud by clicking the red button on the auditor’s website or calling 1-800-321-1275 during business hours.
