Gas Leak Near 401 N Gloster St. Contained, Repairs Underway

Firefighters and gas company teams have contained a leak near 401 N Gloster Street, according to authorities. The leak was caused by damage to a main service line between Leake Street and Blair Street.

Due to wind conditions, the Tallahassee Fire Department advised some homes and businesses in the Blair and Allen Street areas to evaluate their safety. The leak repair is expected to take several hours.

Once the repair is complete and the leak is stopped, residents and businesses will be allowed to return home. The fire department will remain on scene to monitor the situation and ensure public safety, officials said.
