Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief offers free assistance at Blue Mountain Community Center
Representatives from Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief will be at the Blue Mountain Community Center from Feb. 5 through Feb. 7, offering free assistance to homeowners affected by recent events, according to a news release.
The group will be available daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to receive requests for help. Services include tree removal from roofs, entryways, driveways, and roof tarping. Homeowners seeking assistance must arrive during those hours and complete a homeowner application, giving permission for the group to work on their property. Only property owners are eligible to sign and authorize services, the release states.
After Feb. 7, the team will relocate to another community in Benton or Tippah County to continue offering aid, officials said. The services aim to assist residents recovering from recent damage or storms.
