I-55 north entrance ramp at Veterans Boulevard to close in Pike County

The Mississippi Department of Transportation said the I-55 north entrance ramp at State Route 570/Veterans Boulevard (Exit 18) in Pike County, Mississippi, will be closed from 6 p.m. Feb. 20 to 6 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23 for work related to a resurfacing project on I-55.

MDOT advised motorists to seek alternate routes during the closure and said drivers should be on high alert for roadside workers.

The agency said the work is part of an ongoing resurfacing effort on I-55 and that the temporary ramp closure is necessary to complete the work safely.

MDOT posted a traffic map and additional information on its traffic website, the agency said.
