I-55 southbound closed at Pleasant Hill Road in DeSoto County for tanker truck removal

The southbound lanes of Interstate 55 at Pleasant Hill Road in DeSoto County are temporarily closed, according to the Mississippi Department of Transportation.

Crews are working to remove an overturned tanker truck from the roadway, causing the closure at exit 284 near Nesbit Road.

Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes while the cleanup is underway. No injuries have been reported, and there is no estimated time for reopening.
