Mississippi Department of Transportation employees wore red on National Wear Red Day to support heart health awareness, according to an MDOT spokesperson.
The team aimed to highlight the importance of heart disease prevention for employees, their families, and all Mississippians. The event was part of the month-long observance of American Heart Month.
MDOT officials encouraged others to wear red and share the message of heart health, using the hashtags #WearRedDay and #HeartMonth.
