MDOT: Overnight ramp closures on I-55 in Jackson set for March 3-4

The Mississippi Department of Transportation said overnight ramp closures on Interstate 55 in Jackson will begin at 9 p.m. March 3 and continue until 6 a.m. March 4 to allow crews to perform joint repairs.

MDOT listed four temporary closures: the Fortification Street ramp to I-55 north between about 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.; the Fortification Street ramp to I-55 south between about 11:30 p.m. and 3 a.m.; the I-55 south ramp to High Street between about 12:30 a.m. and 3 a.m.; and the High Street ramp to I-55 north between about 3 a.m. and 6 a.m.

MDOT advised drivers to seek alternate routes during each temporary closure and to check the MDOT Traffic app or MDOTtraffic.com for updates.

MDOT provided maps for each closure on its traffic site, MDOTtraffic.com, the agency said.
