MDOT urges drivers to check traffic updates, drive safely ahead of Easter weekend

The Mississippi Department of Transportation urged drivers Friday to check travel conditions and use caution ahead of Easter weekend.

MDOT said roads are expected to be busy with families traveling to egg hunts, church services and holiday gatherings.

The agency advised motorists to consult the MDOT Traffic app or MDOTtraffic.com for updated conditions on their routes.

MDOT also urged drivers to buckle up, slow down and give other motorists space to help ensure everyone arrives safely, the department said.
