Miss. DOT says major infrastructure work under way in northwestern counties

The Mississippi Department of Transportation said significant infrastructure improvements are under way this spring in its District 2, which covers parts of northwestern Mississippi.

“Significant infrastructure improvements are under way this spring in north Mississippi,” MDOT Executive Director Brad White said.

White urged motorists to exercise caution. “Please be extra vigilant while driving through work zones and be alert for roadside crews as we work to improve our transportation system,” he said.

MDOT said the District 2 update covers Attala, Benton, Calhoun, Carroll, Coahoma, DeSoto, Grenada, Lafayette, Leflore, Marshall, Montgomery, Panola, Quitman, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tunica and Yalobusha counties. The agency posted a full project update online at https://bit.ly/4ceHL5b.
