Mississippi has been approved only for public assistance following the winter storm in January, officials said. The state’s request for individual assistance is still under review, officials said.
Officials said public assistance is for local governments, while individual assistance is for homeowners.
Officials said they have received numerous questions from residents about available assistance after the storm.
