Mississippi Department of Transportation Executive Director Brad White provided an update on the state’s response to severe winter weather during a press conference with Gov. Tate Reeves on Thursday.
White outlined the agency’s efforts to clear roadways and ensure safety amid the winter storm that has impacted much of the state. He emphasized the importance of public cooperation and cautioned drivers to stay off the roads unless necessary.
Reeves and White urged residents to stay informed through official channels and to exercise caution as weather conditions remain hazardous. The governor also noted ongoing coordination with local agencies to manage the storm’s effects.
Mississippi has experienced widespread disruptions, including road closures and power outages, as the winter weather continues to affect the region.
