Mississippi DOT spotlights District 7 engineer behind Smith County signal, State Route 149 bridge work

The Mississippi Department of Transportation highlighted Collin Burnham, the resident engineer for District 7 in Mendenhall, in a social media post, saying he has spent six years at the agency.

The department said Burnham has overseen projects ranging from bringing the first traffic signal to Smith County to major bridge replacements. MDOT said he is currently working on bridge work on State Route 149 in Simpson County.

MDOT said Burnham enjoys serving the public and that his favorite part of the job is seeing projects come to life for the people of Mississippi.

The department thanked Burnham for his commitment and expertise as part of its “Worker Wednesday” highlights, according to the social media post.
