GOV. TATE REEVES of Mississippi issued a new update Friday regarding the ongoing winter storm that has swept across the state.
The governor warned residents to remain cautious as snow, ice, and freezing rain continue to impact transportation and daily activities. Reeves emphasized the importance of staying off the roads unless necessary.
State officials are working to clear roadways and assist stranded motorists, Reeves said. He urged residents to monitor local weather alerts and follow safety recommendations.
Reeves’s office did not specify how long the severe weather is expected to last but advised that residents prepare for continued disruptions over the coming days.
