State Auditor Shad White released a report showing Mississippi has the second-highest car tag fees in the country, White said.
The report, released by White’s office, compares state vehicle registration costs across the United States, according to White.
In an accompanying interview, White outlined options the state could consider to reduce car tag fees for Mississippians, White said. The interview provides further detail on potential policy changes and administrative actions.
The report and interview were released by the auditor’s office to inform lawmakers and the public, White said.
