The Mississippi Department of Public Safety will open a new Driver Service location in Columbia on Monday, Feb. 9. The office is located at 153 Partnership Way and will serve residents of Marion County and nearby areas.
Appointments can be scheduled online at dps.ms.gov. Current average wait times at Mississippi Driver Service locations are 14 minutes or less, according to the department.
Commissioner Sean Tindell called the new office a valuable addition for the community. He said the department aims to improve access to services across the state while maintaining low wait times and high customer satisfaction.
