Motorists in 14 Mississippi counties are advised to exercise caution as ice covers roads and bridges, according to the Mississippi Department of Transportation.

As of 7 a.m. Monday, February 2, 2026, reports indicate icy conditions in Alcorn, Benton, Bolivar, Coahoma, DeSoto, Lafayette, Leflore, Marshall, Panola, Quitman, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tippah, and Tunica counties.

MDOT officials urged drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and give space to other vehicles if driving in affected areas. They also recommended checking live road conditions via the MDOT Traffic app or at MDOTtraffic.com.
