A social media post encouraged Mississippians to avoid impaired driving and arrange a sober ride home before celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, the message said.
The post urged people who planned to drink to make sure their ride home was secured before festivities began, saying the right thing to do is to “don’t drive impaired,” according to the message.
The message used Irish-themed wordplay and emojis, including a shamrock, an Irish flag and a beer mug, and included hashtags such as #StPatricksDay, #StPaddysDay, #DriveSober and #DriveSmartMS.
The post described the reminders as a way to help people have a safe holiday and encouraged planning ahead to avoid driving while impaired.
