MDOT Executive Director Brad White praised the efforts of the department’s team, emphasizing their readiness amid severe weather conditions. He urged the public to give crews space while they work to keep roadways open and warned that the storm’s extreme nature could lead to road closures and travel restrictions.
While crews will work continuously to maintain passable roads, drivers are encouraged to exercise extra caution. MDOT has also shared winter safe driving tips and advised travelers to stay informed about local conditions.
