National Sleep Foundation warns of drowsy driving after clocks spring forward
The National Sleep Foundation warned Monday that drivers should be cautious on the first Monday after clocks moved forward for daylight saving time.
The foundation said losing an hour of sleep can leave people drowsy and less able to respond to road hazards.
The group said drowsy driving is a form of impaired driving and can have deadly consequences.
The National Sleep Foundation directed people to its Facebook page and website for tips on getting enough sleep and urged motorists to be sure they are alert before driving.
