National Weather Service: Fire danger elevated across Mid-South

The agency cited moderate southerly winds, low relative humidity and very dry vegetation as factors increasing the risk of wildfire.

The National Weather Service strongly discouraged outdoor burning, saying fires can start and spread easily under the current conditions.
