The National Weather Service office in Memphis, Tennessee, urged residents to identify their safe space ahead of any severe weather threat, according to a social media post.
The post said knowing where to shelter in advance is crucial and offered tips for apartments, houses and mobile or manufactured homes.
The office warned that manufactured homes are not safe from severe weather, according to the post.
The NWS in Memphis advised people to contact local emergency management officials for the locations of public storm shelters, the post said. The message included the hashtag #ARSWAW2026.
