National Weather Service urges social media use during Tennessee Severe Weather Awareness Week
The theme for Tennessee’s Severe Weather Awareness Week focuses on ways to receive weather information, the National Weather Service said.
The National Weather Service said social media is “a great tool” for staying up to date with the latest forecasts from local offices.
The agency listed its offices in Memphis, Nashville and Morristown, Tennessee, and Huntsville, Alabama, as sources for local forecasts, the NWS said.
The National Weather Service used the hashtag #SWAW2026 in its posts, the agency said.
