National Weather Service warns of gusts over 35 mph in parts of Mid-South

The National Weather Service in Memphis warned of a warm, windy spring day across the Mid-South, the agency said.

The office urged residents to secure loose outdoor items and take precautions, especially in northeast Arkansas and the Missouri bootheel, the office said.

The agency said wind gusts in excess of 35 mph cannot be ruled out in those areas.

Officials repeated the advice to secure items that could be blown about by gusty conditions, the National Weather Service said.
