NEMCC Offers Free Study Skills Workshops for Adult Education Graduates

Northeast Mississippi Community College is hosting free study skills workshops for adult education graduates who are currently enrolled in college. The sessions will be led by College and Career Navigator Charlie Smart and are scheduled for Feb. 9 and Feb. 11 at 5 p.m.

The workshops, titled “What I Wish I Had Done In College,” will take place at Booneville’s Holliday Hall and the HSE Classroom in New Albany. The sessions aim to teach students proven study strategies, highlight differences between adult education and college classes, and share lessons learned from Mr. Smart’s own college experiences.

Participants will learn what mistakes to avoid, understand key distinctions between their current coursework and previous learning environments, and gain confidence through effective study techniques. College officials encourage eligible students to register in advance via an online form.
