The Mississippi Department of Transportation said alternating lane closures will be in place on the Interstate 55 bridges over the Pearl River in Jackson from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly starting April 10 through May 8.
Crews will begin by overlaying the northbound I-55 bridge with hybrid polymer concrete, the department said. After finishing the northbound span, work will move to the southbound bridge.
The department described the lane restrictions as alternating closures while crews are on-site during the overnight hours. The work is scheduled to occur each night within the stated timeframe through May 8, MDOT said.
