Nighttime lane closures planned on eastbound I-10 in Hancock, Harrison counties
The Mississippi Department of Transportation said eastbound I-10 will be reduced to a single lane from the Jourdan River Bridge to County Farm Road in Hancock and Harrison counties from 7 p.m. Sunday, March 29, to 5 a.m. Monday, March 30, for striping operations.
MDOT said the work is part of the ongoing I-10 widening project. Crews will perform striping during the overnight hours to minimize daytime traffic impacts, the agency said.
Within the lane-closure area, motorists should expect short-duration, intermittent entrance and exit ramp closures on eastbound I-10, MDOT said. The agency advised drivers to use the next available ramp where a ramp is closed.
Motorists seeking updates can check the Mississippi Department of Transportation traffic website, MDOT said.
