NWS issues fire danger alert for South Mississippi

The National Weather Service in Jackson issued a Significant Fire Danger alert for parts of South Mississippi and warned residents not to attempt open burning, the agency said.

The agency said open burning should not be attempted at this time and urged caution across the affected areas.
