NWS Memphis issues areawide Freeze Warning after cold front

The National Weather Service in Memphis, Tennessee, said a cold front has cleared the region and an areawide Freeze Warning is in effect tonight.

The office said the latest observations show the front has passed and winds will remain breezy through the afternoon, making it feel colder.

Forecasters warned residents to expect freezing conditions overnight and to take precautions, the office said.

The National Weather Service in Memphis said there is relief on the horizon.
