A wind advisory will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today for the Missouri Bootheel and portions of northeast Arkansas, the National Weather Service office in Memphis said.
The office said the Mid-South will see another windy day and warned of sustained or gusty winds during the advisory period.
The National Weather Service advised residents to secure loose outdoor items to prevent damage or hazards.
The office posted the advisory and guidance on its public notice, the agency said.
