NWS Memphis urges Missourians to prepare for Severe Weather Preparedness Week

The National Weather Service’s Memphis office welcomed Missouri Severe Weather Preparedness Week and urged residents to learn how to receive weather information, the office said.

The office encouraged Missourians to get to know the other NWS offices that cover the state and to discuss ways of receiving warnings, it said.

The post said there are several methods to receive warnings and that many options are readily at hand, the office said.

The message included the hashtag #MOSWPW2026, the office said.
