NWS Memphis Warns of Damaging Winds, Possible Tornadoes Saturday

A cold front will move through early Saturday morning, bringing a threat of damaging winds, the National Weather Service in Memphis, Tennessee, said.

The office said damaging winds are the primary concern, but residents should also be on guard for quick spin-up tornadoes and large hail.

Storms are expected to produce heavy rainfall, posing an elevated risk of flash flooding, the office said.

The National Weather Service urged residents to stay weather aware and monitor local forecasts and warnings.
