NWS Memphis warns of elevated fire danger across Mid-South

The National Weather Service in Memphis, Tennessee, warned in a social media post that elevated fire danger is expected across the Mid-South tomorrow, with the greatest risk in northern Mississippi.

The agency posted, “This isn’t something we see every day,” emphasizing the unusual nature of the threat.

Forecasters urged people to use extra caution if they plan to burn anything and said it may be best to wait a few days.

The National Weather Service encouraged residents in affected areas to monitor local conditions and follow any additional guidance from fire and emergency officials.
