Tupelo Police said one person was injured in a shooting at the West Jackson Mart gas station at 1391 W. Jackson St. in Tupelo, Miss., earlier this evening.
Officers responded to the corner of West Jackson Street and Lumpkin Avenue and are on scene conducting an active investigation, the department said.
The victim was transported to North Mississippi Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, Tupelo Police said.
Officials said there is no known threat to the public and the incident appears to be isolated. The department said it will release more information when it becomes available.
