Police warn residents about potential cleanup scam in Booneville
Booneville Police Chief Michael Ramey has issued a warning to residents about potential scams targeting the community.
Scammers may be making phone calls or going door-to-door, offering cleanup services and overcharging for debris removal, Ramey said.
Residents are encouraged to gather information such as names, phone numbers, and the city registration status of these individuals. If they are not registered, residents should be advised to visit Booneville City Hall.
Police ask anyone who encounters suspicious activity to report it immediately to local authorities.
