Record highs possible Thursday before weekend cooldown, meteorologists say

Temperatures could swing sharply this week, and new high temperature records may be set Thursday, meteorologists say.

Aside from the temperature changes, forecasters say little other notable weather activity is expected in the short term.

A cold front is forecast to move through later in the week, dropping daytime highs into the 60s and 70s this weekend, meteorologists said.
