Ripley asks residents not to park in front of curbside debris

Ripley officials asked residents not to park in front of brush piles or debris set out for curbside pickup, saying parked cars prevent collection trucks from getting close enough to remove storm debris.

Officials said blocked access slows service for everyone because crews cannot safely or efficiently reach the material when vehicles are in the way.

They asked residents to park away from brush piles until crews have finished pickup in their area to help keep the city clean and safe.

Officials thanked residents for their cooperation.
